BOSS Orange Spring/Summer 2010

One of the highlights of Berlin’s Fashion Week was the Spring/Summer Collection 2010 of BOSS Orange. In an old industrial hall full of shipping containers and turbines, the fashion label presented their collection for the next summer. MES was on-site and delivered the two-hour live show to the net in fullscreen quality – a first in the fashion world. To guarantee a smooth event, we organized a backup feed via satellite, rented capacities with two leading CDNs and hosted the microsite behind a load balancer.

Webcast 2.0: Platform-Independent Streaming with AJAX, Silverlight and Slideflow Navigation

MediaEvent Services is pleased to announce the launch of its new webcast interface with the Leica Scientific Forum.

The interface leverages AJAX technologies to deliver a rich user experience, including a Slideflow control mimicking the popular Cover Flow navigation, across all major browsers.

It uses the recently released Microsoft Silverlight 1.0 platform to stream to Windows, Mac OS X and Internet Explorer 5, 6 und 7, Firefox 1.5 and 2 as well as Safari. That’s webcasting 2.0. (more…)

Sex, Drugs, Rock ‘n’ Roll – the MTV Europe Music Awards Webshow 2006

“That’s MTV reloaded”. The five hour long EMA backstage chat was positively received by guests, managers and viewers alike. Even Justin Timberlake, this year’s host of the Award-Show, did a little announcement from our “corner”. British comedian Michael Legge and newcomers Juliette & the Licks put together a great show that featured many down-to-earth artist chats and impromptu jam sessions. MediaEvent Services was responsible for the technical realization of the online show, including VIP chat, livestreams, and on-demand content processing.
